Gridline started because the founder was tired of calling HVAC companies at night and getting voicemail. He was a homeowner in Calgary, furnace dead in February, and every company he called put him on hold or told him to wait until morning.
He built the company around one rule: always answer. That meant a chatbot that handles calls at 3am without missing a beat, a dispatch system that gets a tech moving in under 15 minutes, and a team that treats every call — routine or emergency — with the same urgency they'd want for their own home.
Since 2015, Gridline has been the company Calgary homeowners call when they actually need someone to show up.
